We have over 15 years’ experience providing consultancy, software solutions and financial training for the social housing sector in England and Wales. We have worked closely with the Tenant Services Authority and Welsh Government as well as National Housing Federation, a number of lenders to the sector and various individual associations.

In particular we were responsible for projects such as “Measuring Up”, “Global Accounts” and ”Do you have the capacity?” which helped define the metrics now widely used in the sector.

We were also responsible for building the Welsh Government Sustainable Development Analysis Model, the NHF/TSA Borrowing Capacity User Model and credit appraisal models for lenders in both England and Wales.

Software Services

Our latest software solution SHAPE-UP is an Excel-based financial performance evaluation tool with an embedded database, the HARP100, comprising the largest 100 housing association registered providers.

We also offer model auditing services and bespoke financial modelling solutions in Excel.

Training Courses

To support board members who need greater financial awareness to respond to the new regulatory regime we have introduced a new flexible portfolio of training courses; HA Finance & Treasury for Board Members and Executives.

For those who need to understand the principles of project appraisal and consolidate and extend their skills in key technical areas including building project appraisal models in Excel we continue to offer the very popular Project Appraisal for HAs course.

Corporate Finance for HAs is a new 2-day course offered as an in-house course to support finance, treasury and other staff who need a strong conceptual and practical understanding of corporate finance issues.

Understanding Corporate Treasury is a 3-day course for staff new to the treasury function or who work alongside treasury in finance, development, audit or IT. HA staff are eligible for a 20% reduction.

All open courses can also be offered as bespoke courses delivered in-house and tailored to a client’s individual needs and delivered in an association’s offices.
